DownHome Decadence is proud to announce that after a short hiatus we will once again show you why we are known as The Tri-State’s Naughty Thespians as The Rocky Horror Picture Show Experience that the entire area has come to know and love for the past seven years is returning to The Tri-State area for Halloween 2013 at the infamously historic Ro-Na Theater in Ironton, Ohio on Saturday, Novmber 2, 2013 at Midnight!
DownHome Decadence has been putting in blood, sweat, and tears into sweat equity hours assisting The Friends of Ironton in the restoration efforts of the amazingly fabulous Ro-Na Theater on 314 South 3rd Street in the heart of Downtown Ironton, Ohio. After our previous engagement at the venue, it was decided that more work needed to be done to the facility before a complete show could return to the four walls. Much restoration has happened to the theater and there is still much work to do. However, folks returning to the theater after the previous show will noticed marked improvements to the room.
As always, the evening will feature a complete floor show shadow cast performance, and audience participation will be eagerly encouraged from anyone and everyone. All of our audience is encouraged to come in costume as there will be a costume contest, and of course…toilet paper, playing card, and various other items will be hurled through the air with the greatest of ease. Oh, and least we forget, we will all dance the glorious Time Warp before the night is through!
We are anxious to bring you the full Rocky Horror Picture Show Experience you have seen on the hit television series GLEE and The Drew Carey Show and films such as Fame and The Perks of Being A Wallflower. This will not be your parent’s night out at the theater…this will be a full on rock and roll musical spectacular production that will make you totally forget the typical 3D movie theater experience. Watch as the actions you see on the screen are faithfully replicated life and in real time by the outstanding cast – not only on stage, but all around the theater. Come prepared to enjoy an evening where you can be a “Wild and an Untamed Thing” and the motto is “Don’t Dream It… Be It!”

So kids, DownHome Decadence and some special friends attempted to make a Harlem Shake video outside of the now defunct Downtown Discount Cinema Theater last night. However, the Huntington Police Department decided it may not be the best idea for us to film there. Therefore, the footage we got is a little shaky at best.
